Arcserve Fails to Backup NSS Volumes

Hi all, we are using Windows 2000 SP4 with a LTO 200/400 Tapes Unit to Backup a Netware 6SP5 Server with 2x NSS Pools and 3x NSS Volumes and 1x Traditional Volume.

The Fist NSS Pool has SYS and Backups up Fine, then the job fails to backup the other 2 NSS volumes but does backup the Traditional volume fine.

The Error messages are these:
On the Windows Server:Failed to recieve data from the client agent. (Address=202.14.167.1 (CIALFS1)), EC=10060, COMMAND=80)
On the Netware Server:E16519: Failed to send packet, orderly release indication
E3149 Failed to end brightstor arcserve database session, 1
E3148 Failed to begin new session in brightstor arcserve database, 1

Any suggestions?

Hi,

"Disable Estimate" for the netware NSS backup job. Try performing a Separate backup of the NSS volume alone to isolate the problem.
