Arcserve Exchange Restore - Error 8603

A few days back I had a crashed Exchange Server, a Raid disk failure and the server wouldnt boot, finally I managed to get a similar HDD and when I put it in, noe it identifies another HDD failure which obviously means my data from the raid is no longer recoverable.

I have backup tapes for the data, I tried to revover it while re-building the server but it dint work, it does show that the data (first storage group) has been backed up and is present in the tape but the moment the restore starts it fails with a message "E8603 Failed to write to database. (DBNAME=First Storage Group\D:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb[Mailbox Store (EXCHANGE)], EC=Backup Agent Error -- (318) "Can not get the information from Registry".)"

I tried a lot of options but the time was running out and when the downtime was no longer acceptabel I mounted new Databases and resumed the services.

Is it possible somehow that I can get the priv1.edb and priv1.stm from the tape, I cannot try restore again on that server since I dont want any downtime, what are my options to get the dold DB back, I can actually afford some downtime if that is the only way out.
