Dear all
A medal to the person who helps me sort this
We have Arcserve 9.01 SP2 running on a W2003 machine,on it we have the Arcserve Manager and SQL agent installed.
We also have the AS Exchange Agent installed on a separate Exchange Server machine running Excg 2003 and W2003 server.
Our problem is: the exchange mailboxes are not being backed up,with the following error:
"E8604 Product Grace Period Expired"
Which is odd,as we have applied our licence keys when installing and have double checked using the CA licence application(the one in the shared components folder).
The service account we use is setup as per the recommendations in another thread,ie full relevant rights, mailbox etc.
One weird thing is,when i run the CALicnse.exe despite not volunteering this information, there is an entry for AS Exchange agent license, with a very high no of users listed. The correct number displays when running on the Exch box.
I have tried:reinstalling, verifying database consistencey(100%)tried running the job under the Service a/c above.Applying Service Pack 2.
We dont have to install the AS Exchange Agent on the Backup machine as well?I tried this but it seemed to be making calls to the local registry for the Exchange stores etc.
Can anyone suggest anything else to try?(Before i go completely mad)I sincerely appreciate any assistance...
Chris George
