I recently patched Arcserve to the latest version, build 2200 on Windows Server 2000(SP4).

Now, It works fine, connects to the servers, backups and what not.

I went to install the Exchange Agent on our 2003 Exchange Server(Running Windows 2000). I filled in all the details, follow the steps, all went successful, created a mailbox, account has correct rights etc.

I then went to create a job, selected use agent and filled in the details..I then get an error returning saying

"Failed to login to the Agent"

Anyone got any ideas? I know the details are correct as I can login with them. Its driving me mad :(

The use agent u have mentioned here.. is not the Exchange agent, but the Windows CLient agent, whihc needs to be installed on the exchange server.

If you do not have the Windows client agent installed on the Exhcange server, navigate thru the NETWORK tree on the manager and drill into the Exchange server... you should be able to see a golder "platter" .... this is where u put in the credentials that u used to configure the exchange agent.

So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!
