arcserve 2000 restore problems

after a major crash (raid array failure) and numerous weeks of backup problems with an ait autoloader i have no data.
i have a tape dated 7/2/05 which when i try to merge or scan says please insert sequence 2 which i dont have is there any way i can get the data off the tape i have without the second tape

Do a restore by backup media and select the session you want to restore. It does not require the tape to be merged in if you simply want to do a full session restore.
