I have two rotational backups that do backup a set of servers.
One job runs on the weekdays and does a full backup of certain data directories.
The second job runs on the weekend and does a more thorough backup of data, OS, Registry, etc.
Because it does not fit the usual GFS scheme, I end up with some tapes (a year end backup for instance), that I would like to keep but the tapes are still in the media pool,so Arcserve keeps requesting them as soon as they come back into the scratch set.
My question is: How do you remove these tapes from the media pool so that they can be kept out of the loop indefinitely?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
