Hi,
I need to rebuild a machine that is running Arcserve 2000 with Tapelibrary connected to it. What is the best way to save all the data and databases from existing Arcserve installation so i can load it on the new install of Arcserve? Is it possible at all? If so, what do i need to do?

Thank you much.

Nickolay23 - I'm not sure if you can migrate the databases; in the past, I've had to rebuild my Arcserve because the database got corrupted.

But you can always take your existing tapes, and import the data into a brand new datbase (I don't recall the exact name of the function, but it should be fairly intuitive).

stop all the services and close the manager
copy the database directory to a new location.
delete all the r*.* files (they will get recreated)
do you new installation
copy the saved database directory into the new installation
startup ARCserve
