ARCserve 11 problem restoring PST's

I have ARCserve 11 on Server 2003. I have backed up some PST files and they have been backed up sucesfully. When I try to retore the files either to the original location or to a differen location I get 1 of 2 errors. I either get the error:

If restore to addiferent folder on the same machine (or the same location) I get. "AW0083 Client Agent is being aborted"

If restore to another macine I get the error:

E3842 Unable to find File xxxxxx

The desriptions of these problems point either a NAS option which we are not using, or that the tape heads need cleaning which they have been.

I should point out that this happens with any PST file from any user. I have also tried restoreing form several backups taken from the GFS rotation (ie 1 week old, and 1 month old, etc)

Any ideas?

Try restoring some other kind of data to see if it is specific to PST files.
Was an agent used to do the backup?
if so which one?
Put the Job Engine in debug mode.
