Hi,
We are running r11.5 SP3 and Windows 2003 Server R2 on a brand new Proliant ML370 G5. We are using an internal Quantum DLT-V4 drive connected to an HP Single Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA G2 card via an internal cable.
I have not installed the W2K3 driver for the tape drive, as I have heard having both W2K3 and ArcServe drivers can cause a conflict. I have however installed the latest version of the W2K3 driver for the SCSI card from the HP site.
On installation of Arcserve, checking the I see:
Device 2 : LSI SCSI
Device 3 : USB
The tape drive shows as being connected to Device 3:USB, even though it is physically connected to the LSI SCSI card. It even has its SCSI ID, etc listed correctly.
It all seems to work, but I'm concerned as the server has blue-screened a couple of times with hardware-related bugchecks, and Arcserve is the only app installed.
Any ideas how to get Arcserve to recognise the drive on the correct card?
Thanks all.
