ARCserve 11.1 for Windows (2000) SP1 performance

good day from the USVI,

installed ARCserve SP1 and rebooted. Backups run, but at between 10 and 25% of the previous throughput. This is true for Oracle agent and local file system backups, so it should not be a simple network issue. Tape drive is a DLT, which has compression running. Driver does not appear to be anything other than generic.

Anyone else experience this issue?? Any thoughts? Previous throughput < 1000 MB per minute, now between 140 and 260 MB per minute; even on disk to disk backups.

Have not seen any problems with 11.1 SP1.

If you are talking about the OS Tape Device driver see the faq in this forum on which driver to load.

Completely uninstalled ARCserve and reinstalled without SP1. Resroted DB from backup. Back to normal.
