Andrew, there is 7.6.200 on MSSQL & 7.6.200 on pervasive 2000iSQL. I'm confused. What I usually do in your situation is copy the entire bloated db, whether pvsw or mssql to a new db (MSSQL) or folder (PVSW). Then I purge the current db down to bare bones. In pervasive, you must rebuild or bmaintenance the files to shrink the empty space. In MSSQL, the db maintenance utility should handle downsizing the physical size. You might also purge or intialize unnessary, overhead, audit files in the history company to maximize disc space & avoid backups that go onto multiple tapes. Yuck. Once a history company is created, you must periodically archive off the specific records from the live company to the history db. This can be done via import, text edit, etc & by DTS in SQL, tho I am not a huge fan of this technique. If you need more details, please elaborate.
