Architect Model - Ceiling Grid

Hello,

I am real new at 3d Studio. I am trying to find the best way to add a dropped ceiling (with a ceiling grid) to a 3d Studio model. I will have to add florescent and recessed cans. Any suggestion on the best approach? I am all ears... I would be very thankful for any help you could offer on this subject.

start with a plane made from the shape of your room and then you need to do a lot of cutting, slicing and extruding of where your lights will be then you can map a grid onto the ceiling.
