Hello all,
I am running Exchange serevr 2003 for starters. When we recieve e-mails from a contact form page we have on our website and arabic characters are used it comes in as garble as such:

Name: زيØ
E-mail: <user-email address>
Country: عمان
Address: الا

Also if we get an e-mail in arabic from Hotmail it looks the same way. However, if we recieve an email from a client using Outlook and the arabic language it looks as it should. So, it seesm only with web based e-mail systems do we get the garble. Any ideas of what I can do on our Exchange server so we can view web-based e-mail in arabic normally?

I have had a problem that sounds a little like this (in my case it was Russian)

I solved the problem by using a newer version of Outlook, but my problem could have been much more specific then the one you have.

If all the mailsystems use UniCode/CodePage correctly you shouldn't have this problem. And this also sounds to be correct since you only see the problems from some senders and not from all.

When you receive an email that you can't read have you tried to change the encoding used by you mailprogram (eg Outlook) manualy to see if that works?
If this works the problem is that the senders don't use the codepage settings correctly (and not much can be done about that since you don't control the senders system)

/johnny
