This sounds ominous, so please make sure that you back up the system before attempting anything.
Since you've already tried the CMC method, try:
Control Panel Add or Remove Programs->Single click Crystal Enterprise->Select Change->Repair
If that doesn't do it, try:
Control Panel Add or Remove Programs->Single click Crystal Enterprise->Select Change->Change->And select Aps Entire feature will be installed
Or you might even have to uninstall it aqnd then install it again.
Note that you'll need the CD.
