we use Approach 97, probably quite an old version nowadays, the only problem is the screen handling during design, in particular reports and forms, where objects and screens jump about all over the place!

Is this fixed in a later release?
If so we will upgrade.

Sounds like a video driver problem to me. Does it still "jump around" if you lower the screen resolution to 640x480? If so that confirms it is a driver problem.

That driver problem will not be fixed in any newer version of Approach, but you may be able to get another driver from the maker of your video card.

Otherwise, you can find newer versions between 9.5 and 9.8 that will be more current. Often OEM CDs are available online for $20-30.
