Appointment times are changing

We have an Exchange 2000 sp3 server running on Windows 2000 sp3. Two of our heavy users are scheduling appointments for 9am tomorrow. Then when tomorrow comes the appointment is missing. A search shows the appointment has moved to another day and time. this appears to be random and not for every appointment.

Any ideas how the appointment time and date can change?
