I have a network folder that I assigned read/write permissions to a domain local group. Normally I would add user accounts to this group so they would get the read/write access to the folder. Instead, I want to add the computer accounts to the group so even if the user doesn't have access, when they use a specific computer, they will have access to the folder. Is this possible?

What if you add a computer to the security of that folder...hit the "add" button, and then you can click "object type" and select computer. Maybe that'll work?

Thanks,
Andrew

No. The computer account repesents processes running as local system. Processes running as local system on the computer that you added to the group could access the resources, but no user processes that run in the security context of the logged on user.
