After working on a project for some time in the IDE with Delphi Enterprise 7.0, I close all files in the project, then exit Delphi IDE. Most of the time I get the following error message: The instruction at "0x034c9ebc" referenced memory at "0x034c9ebc". The memory could not be read. The message is in a windows system dialog box with the buttons "OK" and "Debug". If I press "OK" I am in a never ending loop containing repeated displays of the same message and same dialog. I have to use the windows Task Manager to stop the delphi32.exe application to make the boxes disappear. If I press "Debug", Delphi IDE opens and the debugger is active. If I close the debugger, then the IDE exits as one would expect.
Does anyone have any ideas about what is going on and how to make it stop?

Thanks

Yeah, I had that problem. Do you have designer hints turned on? I found that sometimes a hint would remain on my screen in design mode even after the form was closed. After this, the program would do what you described on exit.

I unchecked Show designer hints (Tools | Environment Options | Designer tab | Options box) and its been working fine ever since. Of course, I missed the designer hints for a while but...
