I have a switchboard phone (M2250) and the powers that be have decided that they want a menu to intercept calls to the switchboard. I've built the menu, but when I go to the SDN table and assign the LDN to the menu it doesn't work. What am I missing?

Please help....again,

Kim [snail]

If you are using the console "Night" feature to get the calls to ring voice mail, add DN "0" to the voice mail system SDN, whatever SDN is.

Better to take the LDN out of the Customer Data Block and assign it to an ACD or Phantom, directed to the voice mail system.

I came in the office over the weekend to make sure this would work. In the SDN table I pointed the LDN '0' to the Menu and I pointed DN '3000' to the menu. I changed the time of day so it behaved like it would during business hours. I called the number....and BAM....it worked great! I didn't take out the LDN and make it a phantom....should I still do that?

Is there anything else that I could be forgetting to take into consideration before I turn this menu on tomorrow? [ponder]

Thanks as usual
Kim

make sure to check both with the switch in nights and days.. if your test was without the console in days, it may not work the same.. i would also check the idc tables

you were right, it didn't work in days. I don't know what the IDC table is.

OK if there is anyone left on this site, please help me. I need to make this menu work on daytime. It only works on night time now.

OK, this is what I did after i finished breathing in a brown paper bag. I changed the LDN to some random number no one uses, then I created an ACD for the switchboard and made NCFW go to voicemail.

give yourself a raise and take the rest of the week off.. now you can change the ncfw anytime and reroute that acd-dn at will.. remember unless you use idc, the original dialed dn will always be the vsdn the mail sees
