I am implementing an audit and have been unable to find a MAC audit tool that collects software and hardware details, saves them to a central server, can be launched remootely, and (and this is the most important bit) runs unobtrusively so the end user does not know thay are being audited.

Has anyone used such a tool?

P.S. We run most MAC OS - 8 and up.

We know of a solution that comprehensively audits the MAC environment for all hardware and software assets. If you have a PC and Unix base it can do this too. Drop me a mail if you would like more info.
