Just wanted to take a moment to praise the forums herre for both their very intelligent and helpful members and the solid function of the forum itself.

Every once in a while I head over to Apple's "discussion" area and as of yet, I have gotten mostly snotty comments from people who don't want to help. They seem to almost live there and hate the "noobs" and people who just don't get it as well as they do. Not here. Here I can expect someone to try and that is more than any of us can hope for. Thanks everybody!

And lately, I can't even connect to the Apple Forums as the site times out and pages take a minute to load. The background software is slow and the system confusing in it's oveall layout. Thanks Tek-Tips!

Apple have been having trouble with the forum performance lately, so that may explain your problem accessing them. Otherwise, I personally have found them useful on many occasions. I don't think it's a good idea to ignore them all together but instead use them as part of your troubleshooting process.

I am also extremely impressed with this forum. Actually, I am impressed with the site as a whole. Everyone is quite civil here. Even with the different platforms, people aren't spewing, "Macs suck," or, "Windows sucks," etc.
It's quite refreshing.

I agree with you guys - THANK YOU for all who invest in this Forum.

This site is not known for weak performance. For some of my requests I never heard any answers. But that's not because I'm a crack with special problems. It's bencause I'm using some less common stuff. So we'll certainly all need other forums and I enjoy not having any agonizing comments if there is no answer.
