Hy Guys,

So I have Application Server 9.1.6 (Server eddition) and i want to use it as secondary in my deployment - for vociemail and contact recorder.

After the ignition process, after i add that additional hdd:1 and the system reboots I get this:
Boot_error.JPG

I am very low skilled in Linux..

I have had this problem before at a client and i fixed it by installing 9.1.6 and then upgrade to 9.1.7 - but after reinstalling everything 5 times.. i am afraid to reboot the server now though..

Anyway, any clues? ideeas.. I am keep searching the internet for answers, but it is difficult since I don't understand how Linux works.

Need help,

Vlad C.

Login as root and run fsck /dev/sda2

See if that fixes it.

It sais

/dev/sda2 in use
e2fsck: Cannot continue, aborting.

Sorry I have no more suggestions.

I would try your upgrade/downgrade procedure and see if that fixes it.

I'll have to start all over with the installation..
I am not quitting this, it must be fixed.. if I find one, i'll come back with updates.

It's a screen capture from Avaya's support website and it was easyer for me to copy/paste image link then do a printscreen myself.

Please stay on topic!

Ok so Coming back with a resolution.

Edit /etc/fstab with nano to comment out the line with the mount point causing the issue.
Before edit fstab do : "mount -o remount,rw /"

Reboot server,
It should work now..

Hi Vlad,

Can you confirm that this worked?

Thanks

ACSS (SME)

Hy,

Yes it worked!

Thing is.. I rebooted again the server and same problem occured.. did again the fix and it worked again..
So maybe it is not the best solution but it is a great workaround.

Maybe with later versions it won't happen.

:)
