Is it possible to run a query in access and append the results to an excel workbook also is possible to specify the spreadsheet within the workbook?

Why not pulling the info from within Excel instead of pushing when in Access ?
Anyway the short answer is Yes:
take a look at OLE Automation and the CopyFromRecordset method of the Excel.Range object

Hope This Helps, PH.

The problem i have is that the workbook is shared, and sometimes im locked out because another user is updating it, Id like to use access to try to append the data, if the workbook is locked, to keep trying until the data has been appended. so pulling from the workbook would defeat my purpose.
