I am running an append query from a form when the user clicks save. When I have any more than 50 characters in my text fields the append will not work - "invalid procedure".
The table field sizes are set to 255 characters and can take appropriate number of characters typed directly.
Access version is 2000. It works OK on my own system(Access 2003) but my customer system has to remain Access 2000. Could this be a missing reference? If anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated.

I've done somethings that are similar to what you had mentioned about. Try recreating the append query in Access 2000. Test it there to see if it works. If I read your post correctly, it appears that you are converting from Access 2003 to Access 2000. That might have some effects on the way your db will work. Most like, the older access versions might not support the some features that are available in the newer access versions.
