Hi

asp.net 2

Could anyone suggest why when I place a button control on my forms they are appearing as dreary grey rectangles. At my previous employer when I placed button on a form it had rounded edges & shading effects.

Something is set during installlation of VS maybe?

Thanks :)

Nope, it's nothing to do with an installation of an IDE. You view HTML in a browser so it's the browser and the operating system the browser runs on that determine the default look of HTML elements. You can however use CSS to style your HTML elements.

I can style the buttons easily enough myself, but I'm still trying to think how my previous employer might have achieved their 'look'. The asp.net stuff was all internal so maybe it was via the OS setup as you suggest but they were a bit backward tbh so I'd be surprised :)

Waynest,

If you choose Windows XP as theme you get rounded buttons. If you use Windows Classic, you get grey rectangles.

Can you try the two options?
