Just got an APC Smart UPS 1000 but I can't get it started, not with (terribly deformed, maybe broken) batteries and not without them. APC says it's broken but I want to know, can I repair it, where should I look? Apart from the batteries the system looks perfect, no black spots on the PCB, no blownup elco's or so.
