Apache and fronpage server extentions Does anybody know anything about

Whew this has been my hardest project yet. I seem to be stuck. I am using 2002 server extensions with apache 2.0.44.
I installed these extensions but when I try to connect via frontpage I get an error stating that the server does not have extensions installed. "looking for _vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_pvt"

Thanks in advanced for any and all help.
George
