I am currently looking to upgrade my proxy server from Apache 1.3.x to 2.0.39 running on my Sun Solaris box.

I've got my new proxy server up and running ok but I keep getting Segmentation fault (11) messages in my error log. I think it might be related to caching, possibly related to the directives CacheDirLevels and CacheDirLength. I originally set these values to 3 and 5 respectively and I got tons of seg faults. I have now reduced these values to 3 and 2 and I seem to be getting less seg faults.

I have double-checked the filesystem that contains CacheRoot and my inode utilisation is only running at 4% so I've not breached that limit. I also have plenty of disk space and memory (both physical and swap).

Has anybody encountered a problem like this before??

Thanks.
