aol webmail access

i don't use aol and really unsure as to why this would happen. A friend of mine is trying to access their aol e-mail account via webmail. They can access it from anywhere but their girlfriend's home computer. Home PC is running win2000, IE privacy is set to medium with aol allowed to cookie. Using Earthlink DSL for connectivity.

What happens when the user goes to the AOL site? Try emptying the temporary internet files and cookies folders.

They are able to enter webmail.aol.com but after entering their username/password it simply times out and they get the white "this page could not be displayed" screen. They are able to check it elsewhere but not on this PC. I'll have them try the above.
