Anyone understand the HelpContextID property???

That is a slight lie actually. I understand this part perfectly, but how does one go about creating the helpfile associated with the contextID. We have created a HTML helpfil, & need to know who we go about burying the contextID in the HTML, which I presume is where it lives.......An example would be most helpful...

access 97, but it will be written for access 2000 as well.

My understanding is that A97 cannot directly access compiled HTML help files, only the older compiled help files made from RTF documents. Access2k *can* use .CHM files directly. If fact (somebody else jump in if I'm wrong), I think A2k can use either format.

Because I don't know doodly about the older form of help, I've written some help material for A97 apps in HTML, then used a button with a hyperlink property to launch explorer and display them. It's not ideal, and I've saved it for lengthy documents, ones that explain the purpose of the file, how the paper version of the records flow through the company, etc. - back-story kind of things. The files get double use since they are part of the company intranet, too.
