I have been getting complaints from users that the (seen it myself also) conference call drops when using a external polycom (Ayaya) speaker unit. If they only use the phone the calls will stay up. This is a hit and miss problem. All are connected to 8405D+ units. I then take the conference unit and connect it to my test setup and the call will not drop after more than 24 hours up. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. I tell them it's because they keep kicking the power cord off, but I'm not sure that's the problem, they can dial and after about a minute it just turns itself off. It happened just after the 1 year warranty expired and I bought another one and after 1 year it's now doing the same thing. It's very annoying.

That is what I thought was happening also. Or that someone way "playing". I saw it happen first hand about 2 weeks ago when I was in a meeting. I ask polycom if they had seen the problem and they said "no", :)

I have tried different ports, phones, and the backup wire pair from the wall jack to the IDF/MDF.
