We've seen two things on firmware 2.3 on Avaya 4602 and 4620 phones. Both have been major issues for us. Has anyone else experienced these issues:
- When remotely upgrading a 4602 from firmware 1.82 to 2.3 the last reboot of the upgrade locks up the phone with a partial display and no dial tone. The only resolution is to power cycle the phone and then it is running firmware 2.3 okay.
- On all firmware 2.3 (both 4602 and 4620), there is poor PC performance for a PC plugged into the phone. Wasn't a problem on firmware 1.82, 2.0, and 2.1.3. Problem happens if the Cisco switch is locked down to 10 Mbps/half duplex or if the Cisco switch is auto negotiated to 100 Mbps/full duplex and the PC is 10 Mbps/half. It looks like the duplex negotiation is broke on the Avaya port. If I put a 10 Mbps hub on the PC port and try to transfer files you see massive collisions.
