Anybody know how can i get res3000 1

My customer system is 2.6 sp7.We want upgrade it.Anybody know how can i get v3 or up version discs

Call your local dealer, they should be glad to help. Do NOT delay if you process credit cards thru the POS, version 2.6 of Res3000 is NOT compliant with Visa'a new security standards. Upgrade ASAP.
Upgrade to the latest version 4.
Do NOT attempt on your own, involve your dealer to be sure it is set up correctly. Good Luck!

Upgrading to res 4.1 is not a fun process. We started a 14 store upgrade rollout a few weeks ago. Here are some things you should know about it to save you from the growing pains i'm going through:

1) your customer is going to have to purchase an upgrade license.
2) you can't upgrade straight from 2.6 or 3.0 to 4.1. you'll have to bring them up to 3.1 first.
3) res 4.1 will only run on XP pro (under 9 workstations) or win2003 server.
4) if you have ultra workstations, they aren't compatible with res 4.1. Eclipse workstations are, but they're going to need ram upgrades and XP loaded on the drives. Diskless workstations aren't avaiable, only Eclipses w/hd or WS4's.
5) totals get corrupted pretty often in the upgrade. i'm clearing totals for all the systems in my upgrade rollout.
6) custom reports will have to be modified. verify them against the res 4.1 db and test them. some of the posting procedures embedded in the older reports tank.
7) external program links have to be changed. there's a section on this in the 4.0 GR readme.

I thought the UWS4 was a Diskless Terminal, based on Win CE?
Could you upgrade to the new 15" PCWS 2010?

Sorry about the delay. Like I said, upgrading to 4.1 isn't fun and I've been doing one, sometimes two per week so haven't been on the boards for a while.

Yes, WS4's run Win CE off a compact flash card. Micros had an option of running Eclipse and Ultra workstations without a hard drive built into the older versions of 3700, very much like thin clients. I never liked it. It was slow and didn't have any offline capabilities.

I haven't looked at the 2010 too much, but wish that I had. It's not something that I'd want to use as a regular workstation, but would be great as a backup server.

Also, if you're going to use WS4's, make sure Micros give you the new LX model. They're faster and run a new version of CE.
