Any Suggestions in purchasing a CD-RW+R

Depends on how much you wanna spend?
Plextor and Yamaha CDRW drives are generally considered to be the best quality (but will cost double for the priveledge of ownership) closely followed by a mass of good quality alternatives: Any of the following will offer good quality and performance if your wallet won't run to a Plextor/Yamaha.
Sony, LiteOn, Asus, Samsung, LG, MSI, TDK, AOpen and possibly Cyberdrive. Martin

Martin thank you very much I will spend what I have to, and as long as I am getting the quality I do not mind spending the money. I really don't want to spend over $500. Do you think this will cover a yamaha or plextor? Once again Thanks in Advance!!!
As long as you don't intend to burn DVD's then a normal CDRW drive will be just fine and your $500 USD is well over what you will need for the Plextor or Yamaha.
Not sure about US prices but I guess $200 should do it with change to spare. Martin

Just a remark here : fortiz is talking about a CD burner and movies.
You can burn a DivX on CD, but movies has two issues :
1) you do not have the right to make copies of commercial movies (but, frankly, that is your problem if you do so)
2) the correct unit type for burning movie files is DVD-R/RW, not CD-R/RW.
Of course, since you state that money is not an issue, the best course will probably be to buy a DVD-RW. These days any DVD burner can burn CDs and CD-RWs, if I'm not mistaken.
As far as brands are concerned, I have a marked preference for Plextor and Lg drives.

If it is important for Fortiz to write movies in top quality then the writer is going to have to be a DVD type, Sony has pretty much got the best all round unit at the moment, there DRU-500AX is truely multi format and the only drive (that I know of) that writes all four DVD formats DVD+R, DVD-R, DVDRW+ & DVDRW- plus of course normal CDR and CDRW.
I have to point out to Fortiz when you write "not sure about movies" that a good DVD writer can cost as much as 7 times the equivelant CDwriter so you will have to decide how important or necessary DVD copying is to you.
Of course a DVD's massive 4.7gig capacity can be used for mass storage backup as well, so thats another question (is large capacity storage worth paying all the extra for)?

You can get an internal SONY CRX-220A1 internal CD-RW drive for around $60 US after rebate or an external drive via USB for around $100 US. DVD-RW drives are around $250 to $300 US for internal, or around $400 for a USB external

Is there much difference in the differnt brands? Also, where did you see this price. I am not going to copy DVD movies, I just want to copy pictures, documents, and music and be able to read and write over CDs. So this means I will use a CD-RW Driver correct. So now I just have to decide which brand the Sony, Plextor or Yamaha. What about HP, how come no one has mentioned their equipment.

These prices came out of a J&R mailer, but you can get them at about anywhere. If you are in the USA, then check out the weekend circulars. You can also check at techbargains.com. They post specials from all over that are sent in by readers of the site. You will find all kinds of deals there on the items you are looking for.
One other brand of drive you might consider would be Lite-on.
They are good drives at great prices.
I have had Plextor, Yamaha, Sony, and Lite-on Drives.
Personally, they all performed well. They all wrote CD's just fine.

Samsung has a combo drive. It reads DVDs, but reads and writes CD-ROMs. It's at Best Buy for $79.
