I did a BCM install yesterday and there was a system on the wall that the customer was going to just trash. The system doesn't have any phones so it's hard to check if it works or not. It does have voice mail ( IFM2S ) Linux v1.31 and a ip address was on the front of the cabinet. I connected my laptop to it and was able to hit the ip but it's asking me for a user name and pswd. Can anybody steer me in the right direction and also tell me if this equipment has any value? I did make a post in the panasonic form but haven't heard anything back yet.

I'd suggest Googling it.
You might find a manual or somebody selling one that could give you a clue to its value.

I haven't worked with Panasonic since around 1988.
It's virtually wiped from my memory. I think it was a beige cabinet?

yes its a beige cabinet and at the top right hand corner its blue with panasonic written on it. It has like 7 or 8 card slots in it. I've tryed to google some info on it but cannot find out what the pswd might be at all. Another thing is when i fire it up the drive that is on the IFM2S card is kinda noisy, do you know if that's normal or not?

I learned in a rather ignorant way in another not so popular forum that there is a few manuals for Panasonic.
search for (along with system model):
-Installation manual
-Program manual
-Feature manual
-Operations manual.

Seems to be one extra manual compared to Norstar.

Program manual AND Installation manual.

They broke up on how to screw system to wall versus how to program it.

Ok sarcasm, not a bad system though...wireless very nice.
