Sorry for a 20th century PC question, but does anyone know how to set an HP E-PC C10 to boot without a keyboard? I find old reviews and specs for this machine showing this as a feature but can't figure out how to do it. This is a very tightly locked down little box with very few BIOS options.

Check BIOS to see if there is an option to halt on errors and unset the halt on keyboard (if this is an option)

The answer is "42"

WHY do you need to boot it w/o a keyboard? It can be removed after boot. Or, you can connect a KVM to the PS/2 output.

Alternatively, you can try to flash the BIOS to add more functionality. The "Halt On" feature franklin97355 referred to is usually on the first page.

Why? Usual reason for wanting a headless box, it's going to live in a remote location with very little space and just a network connection. It's managed via VNC.

I couldn't find a BIOS option that worked, so in the end I made a keyboard stuffer by taking the encoder chip/board out of an old one and cutting the cable down to a few inches. (I could have bought a stuffer for about $30 but this was quicker.)
