I am adding a lot of new part numbers and I want them to have the planning activity code so that no one can enter an order for the item until we are ready(they can add an order for an item that is forecasted). Is there any downside to this?

We are on Progression SQL 7.6.3.

Thanks
Celeste

Do you mean the P&IC Code?

You could set the items to inactive and or an active item with an activity date far into the future so you couldn't use it. I'm not sure whether the planning code does anything for you or not. You've probably tested it and found that you can't enter orders with that code.
