We actually did sell Power Conferencing to a series of clients and now they are looking for a more WebEx type version. Has anyone utilized the Dev Connect team on an install?

I would also be interested in any answers to this.

I use a combination of my conferencing module (which has a conference bridge with user managed PIN for every extension) and Mikogo.com which is a free WebEx style online utility.

Kyle, just make sure. The voice part is handled by IPO and VMPro while the PC part is something completely independent. Right?

Correct. Although in Mikogo, just like in GoToMeeting or WebEx you can schedule a call and provide your own dial-in information so I just send out the conference bridge number and PIN in the invitation and it feels very integrated. The only thing you are really loosing is the ability to limit the number of conference participants.

Has anyone "tried" Conference Centre on V6/7?

Sorry I never "try" anything that isn't supported. After nearly a decade with this system I find that to be the best way to get myself into trouble.

I don;t mind trying it but never ever on a live system.
I do nto see the point for using the conference center and then even on 6.0 or higher.
I have never seen an ipoffice with conference center in my 6 year ipoffice carreer.

I have only ever sold one. However having used it, I quite like it. Yes it has issues with the fact that every user you set up on it is an administrator, but if you ignore this it's a very nice product indeed. Avaya never sold any because it was too expensive.

I'm wanting to upgrade this one client to V6/7 so we have advised them that they will lose it. Just wondered if it still worked on V6 V7, regardless of support.

We have also set up conference bridging with the Voicemail Pro so they have both anyway. They probably use this more often!

We had a conference center license on our demo system and the license switched to 'obsolete' after we upgraded to 6.0. I had it working on 5.0. It quit working after the R6 upgrade. When it worked, it worked fairly well.

@biv343

Thanks, that saved me installing it and trying! ;-)

NovaLink had a bolt-on called NovaConf that worked ok with IP Office but I don't know if they're even around anymore.

Hi Dennis, Novalink is still there.
Where are you from?

That is not nearby :)
I thought you perhaps lived in europe because novalink is from switserland.
But it is still there and it is a good solution

The site I am looking at is requiring both voice and web portions of the service to be recorded. That throws out Mikogo. Does anyone know if Novasoft records both simultaneously.
