Hi All
I am hoping that somebody can help me, I manage a SBS2003 site and the client is getting hit hard by spam.
I installed the trial of mail essentials from GFI and this stopped 99% of all spam as they claim, the problem is the product is too expensive for 5 users so they have asked me to find another (Better Priced Product)

I have searched Google and found many products, some are hosted, some have a server component and a client installation.

I want advice on a product that works as well as GFI but is half the price does any body know of a decent product with good pricing and is just as good as detecting spam as GFI

Please help me.

We use the Microsoft Intelligent message filter and it works fairly well. Use this with the Block list providers and you should be good to go. I assume it is included with the SBS version of exchange.

Here is a link to setting up hte IMFv2 which you should have if you installed SP2 for exchange.
