Anti-Virus Software for Exchange 2003

Never heard of that but some general anti virus tips:
Strip ALL .exe, .bat, .scr, .vbs, encrypted zips and all the other potentially nasty ones from ALL emails.
Anti virus software is reactive so it won't strip an infected .exe file until hours / days after the initial release.
This may cause a political situation but can be easily got around by renaming the file extension .doc. This will stop viruses and still allow savvy users to receive the files they require.

i rename my files to ._unsafe
that helped the political problems, because it made it look like a threat
i used trim mail to handle this and quite a bit more.
