hi all,
i've enormous problem in controlling the undesired mails.
these are often the mails containing virus attached scrern savers.
i filter many of the undesired adresses at exchange 2000 itself.
My Kaspersky antiviurs is working fine now to get rid of the virus.
i've seen in one of messages posted that Trend, GFI are good anti spams. I've to get and install it.

But at present i've one problem.
i filter an adress. But i get a message saying that i couldn't deliver a mail to this adress as if i've tried to send it.

Mail Delivery System [MAILER-DAEMON@mycompnay.fr]
To my adress:
Subjet:
Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender -xxx

I get this message very regularly.
What can i do to get rid of this??????????

regards

Check out the FAQ by Shackdaddy. I believe this is what you're talking about,
"In addition I would also suggest that you select the Accept messages without notifying sender of filtering option. The reason why is that most spammers use false reply addresses anyway, and your queue will end up being full of undeliverable NDR's if this option isn't selected. These NDR's in the outbound queue often fool inexperienced admins into thinking their servers are being used as relays when, in fact, they are not, so keep an eye on this setting."
Here is the FAQ, faq858-3572

currently it's configured as such.
(global setting, message delivery, accept messages without notifying sender).
