Another weird shutdown problem !

On booting my computer,I find the blinking cursor on the
top right of my screen and that's where it should be.Just before shutdown again I find it there for seconds just before the message 'it's now safe.......'OFTEN though on
shutdown the cursor first appears on top and the on the bottom right of the screen and then the shutdown process freezes!!!It is nightmare!
 
Thanks for the tips!!One thing,though,I forgot to mention is that it doesn't happen all the time,usually not after restarting,but there are so many things to check!!!
 
If you are using Windows 98, there is a possible fix on the Microsoft website. Instead of going to the MS website goto & type in windows 98 shutdown.
The first item to be found should be a direct link to the MS page that has the info.
