A client of mine brought his notebook computer (Samsung SENS 640, C-550, Intel 82440MX) to me with the following problem:
although the USB port is functional for a USB printer (Canon SBJ-660), it has problems with a USB video conferencing camera (Windows says it does not receive enough power), a USB mouse (Logitech Wheelmouse Optical which seems to transmit only one signal every other time: it delays and moves in short "shocks"
and a ZIP 250 USB (it takes about 20 minutes for one MB to transfer). In short: something is wrong with the USB port configuration.
I have read all the questions on the board and tried the "normal computer" install but no success. The symptoms are the same.
Comparing it to another notebook running Win 2K Pro, the Properties of the USB Controller do not indicate which devices are connected, even if I hang a ZIP and printer onto it. Usually it should give an indication of the bandwidth used, correct?
Any tips are very welcome.
