Animated gifs and picture boxes

I am making a small program and need to have an animated gif in it. Can i do this with a picture box or image control and have it animated or not? I cant seem to work out how if you can, i dont really want to use any other controls in case the computer doesnt have them and its too small to have an install and the install would just be annoying anyway.
