The ODBC logs to SQL server don't show too much information. I'd highly recommend 3rd party software or you will spend many hours of your time searching through log information.
Something that is cheap and easy to use is eWebLogAnalyzer at for $79. I'm not affiliated with them at all in case that crossed your mind. I just reviewed about 20 different log analyzers for my website and this is the one I liked best. There are better ones out there, but the price tag increases exponentially. There are some free ones out there too, but I didn't like any of them. This is the lowest priced product like this that I could find that provided useful information with a professional looking presentation.
You'd have to turn on W3c format logging and enable every field in the list. This will give you information like which search engine reffered someone to your website and what they typed in the search to find. Information you will never get from ODBC logging.

First, I don't have ODBC logging. The logs in SQL were imported via DTS. I have most of the custom fields turned on.
Also, I looked at that software and it appears to be a windows app. I am looking for an web app solution. The reason why I want't/need to develop a custom solution is that we are logging by ip address and/or username. These users are matched to a specific company in another database. Hence, I want to create company specific reports.
That's why I would like to figure out the queries for visits, etc...

esoft is a Windows app that creates a bunch of html pages for you to view in a browser. I have the software setup on a schedule to update the html files. I view all of the results in html. It sounds like you need more flexibility though.
As an alternative, check out SQL Reporting services. I started down the path you are taking. I was using reporting services as a base. It'll take a lot of work though. I just don't have the time, so I went the boxed solution route.
