Hi I am a BIG novice Administrator for several SourceSafe (SS) dbases at my work place. I want to run the analyze utility, I have the directionS right from sourcesafe help as follows:
To run Analyze.exe:
1. Lock out all users and have them quit VSS. See Lock a Database for more information.
Note VSS users can have files checked out when a database is locked.
2. Open a command prompt to run Analyze.
For example, you might enter:
C:\vss\win32\analyze ..\data <<<< This is where I am confused, the data folders I want to analyze are on a network drive and so is the analyze utility. What would be the syntax to enter in the command prompt to execute the analyze utility if the path I want to analyze is as follows:
\\Elvis\Emb-Diag\Abrams M1A1\sourcesafe\data\a
The path for the analyze utility \\Elvis\Emb-Diag\Abrams M1A1\sourcesafe\win32.
Thanks for your time
