Analouge phone will not ring?

Hi Everyone

A customer has an GDK16 and we put in a analogue handset for them which will not ring when external calls come in???? it will ring internally though?
Have checked the programming and all seems fine, i just cant work it out?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Did you check Menu 4-10 (if you use ISDN) to see if day, night and external number has been entered in this menu.
If you use analogue CO lines, check if ringing is set for the new analogue phone.

The phone you think should be ringing on incommers can you pick the phone up when you think it should be ringing and get the call?.

point the ddi at a group put the phone in the group, does it ring do the other phones in the group ring ?

No im alan from the uk,

and many thanks ive managed to sort it with your input.
The ddi was already being pointed to a hunt group that did not include that extension, so now all is working.

Thanks for your update. This is the most important fact with GDK-16:
If Menu 4-10 is set up correctly, then it is TEN-FOUR (10-4)!
