Ok,

Here is what I am trying to do:

I have a 12 port Analog Dialogic card connected to a Nortel 11c Mini. I have LDTA set on the lines and I went into the Dialogic DCM program and set the Misc Setting for Disconnect Tone to Yes. The problem is when I go off hook and dial from the Dialogic Card, then hang up the called extension, I still don't see a disconnect on the port on the Dialogic side. When doing this testing with just a regular phone set I hear dial tone as soon as the called party hangs up.

Anyone have any ideas? I am going to cross post this in the Dialogic Exchange Network forums and will report any resolution to both boards! Thanks!

Ryan

Try programming ISP and OSP (incoming and outgoing supervision) under FTR of the analog TNs. You may have to use an OPX line card in the PBX.

War Eagle!!

telebub,

Nope, same things happens. Just so everyone knows here is a prt of the TN:

GHTROUT,

I am using the NT1R20AB Card.

Humm, I could modify that tone but I don't know exactly what the Dialogic card is looking for, so I don't know really what to try and set that to.

How do I display that the LDTT is currently set to?

Oh, you have the card. In that case, you might want to set the CLS LDTT - for no tone at all. Then set Dialogic for supervised disco, not "tone"

To see the tone length,

GHTROUT,

Yeah I actually dialed with phone instruments also to make sure it wasn't the dialogic messing something up.

Well I mean I think polarity is correct, but I can check it. Does it matter?

GH,

I can't even get disconnect to work on basic phones. I can call from one analog to a digital. Hang up the digital and the analog never goes to the calling party hunt up.

I don't know what that means, but it doesn't mean anything in Telecom lingo :)

If you are on a normal analog phone (without LDTA) and call a digital, then let the digital hang up on you and just sit and listen, you will hear dead air forever. Then the phone will go into what we call "Lockout". In that scenario you would be the same as the Dialogic board and would need instructions in your program to hang up after X seconds of silence.

If you are on a normal analog phone (with LDTA) and call a digital, then let the digital hang up on you and just sit and listen, you will hear a burst of dial tone and then dead air forever. Then the phone will go into what we call "Lockout". In that scenario you would be the same as the Dialogic board and you would need instructions in your program that said "When you hear a burst of dial tone after a call tone, hang up".

If you are on a NT1R20AB phone and call a digital, then let the digital hang up on you and just sit and listen, you will sense a battery reversal. Then the phone will go into what we call "Lockout". In that scenario you would be the same as the Dialogic board and you would have instructions in your program to hang up when battery reversal is detected.

GHTROUT,

Ok my boss (an OLD ex-Nortel hardware engineer) is going crazy on me here. He is saying that he knows there is some way (yet he doesn't know how) to make it so that the Switch will do true disconnect supervision, which he defines as at least 500ms but usually 2000ms of disconnect - of a Tip to Battery ground(or short, I can't remember what he said)??

I laid everything out about it giving a disconnect tone but he said it will do a true disconnect supervision, otherwise he asks - How does the fax work? It would just go to a lockout. So, I look at the fax and it is on a NT8D09A card. Which is programmed as such:
