I know that the documentation states that you can only have (2) analog trunks in a conference but is this a hardcoded limitation using 3.1 and higher? Can anybody explain the technical reasons behind the limitation? I have read from other posts that there is feedback, etc.. and I was wondering if anybody could explain more. Also - are these limitations common for competitive products (i.e. Nortel, Panasonic, Samsung, etc.....)??

I have used more than 3 analog lines in a conference call, sometimes without problems sometimes with.
Avaya's explantion was eventhough you may not have had any problems with more than 2 analog lines in a conference we DO NOT SUPPORT it.
If it works great. If not o'well.

Ok, a more technical reason ;) would be because each analog line has "sidetone" and as you start bridging these lines together, you get excessive echo and low conference qualities. I also don't think the IPO amplifies analog conference members (only digital).

Hope this helps...
