Hi

MXe III Controller is installed in my site in Dubai. there is a analog Fax in office. when a fax is sent from East Asia to my analog fax; there is not any data on paper. it means that paper is white. but, if the Fax machine connect to CO trunk directly, there is not any problem. I guess there is any special configuration for Fax in the controller!!! please let me know, what shall I do?

Bests

how does the call get to the MXe from east asia?

is it in on a trunk or acoss xnet ?

if its across xnet , is there compression ?
if there is compression you are probably out of luck unless you get T38 licenses for both ends of the xnet trunk

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks for your reply and question.
1. the call comes from from PSTN Network.
2. trunk
3. No, there is not xnet and compression

Now, Let me know what shall I do?

ok so you have a PSTN line that when connected to the Mitel and routed to the analog causes issues with the fax
but when connected directly to the fax doesn't cause any issues ?

1: why not just leave it connected to the fax

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks for your reply

It should mention that
1. There are two CO trunks to receive fax and calls. the requests will be routed to fax server or extension by MXe III controller (controller(A)). so, FAX server cannot connect to CO trunks directly.
2. There is not any T.38 license in MXe III controller. without T.38 license, my fax server can receive fax from other fax server in Dubai. so, is there a direct link between my problem and T.38 license?
3. There is controller(B) that is connected to controller(A) through IP/Xnet. in addition, there is not T.38 license in both controllers. when fax server (in controller(A)) receive fax via controller(B) (one CO trunk is connected to the controller(B)), there is not any data and paper is white.

Please, Let me know what shall I do?
